Stay Healthy While Travelling

Eat How You Would Eat At Home

Do you indulge in fast food and takeaway all the time at home? Then don’t do it while travelling! Yes, please enjoy the local delicacies but keep it to 1 meal a day. Europe has amazing fresh produce available for even the tightest budget from markets and shops.

Walk

Most cities will have all the popular attractions within walking distance, avoid the underground, get some fresh air, and walk. Aim for about 10,000 steps a day, sounds like a lot hey! but really this is extremely achievable, it’s about 2-3 hours of walking a day. This is also the best way to explore any city! New Europe Tours have great free walking tours of most major cities in Europe, these last for about 2-3 hours and are a great way to see the sights!

Take The Stairs

Some attractions will allow you to visit the top of them, like St Paul’s and The Eiffel Tower. Nothing like a few hundred stairs for a great cardio, butt and leg workout! This also applies to train stations and shopping centers, don’t be lazy and take the lift! use the stairs!

Sleep

I know it’s tempting to party all night and sleep all day, but really you should be getting a healthy amount of sleep every night, about 6-8 hours. Leave the partying for 1 night a week. You will feel better and will have more energy to explore!
Besides, there are nightclubs back home, the Colosseum on the other hand, is only in Rome!

Cycle

Bike tours are becoming more and more common these days in Europe. Almost one in every city it seems. A great way to see the sights and get a good workout! Either that or hire your own bike, this option is a little cheaper then the organised tours and you can generally hire the bike for 1/2 and full days.

If you are going to travel to another country you will need to get a passport. Check the requirements on this page Egyptian Visa when You want to travel to Egypt.
